Motorola Q Approved by FCC

"The FCC approved Thursday the much-anticipated device, which melds a Blackberry’s keyboard with Razr’s thin styling and metallic finish. The phone runs on Microsoft’s Windows Mobile software and represents Motorola’s best hope for grabbing a piece of the corporate market dominated by Palm Inc. and Research In Motion’s Blackberry.
Motorola unveiled the device with much fanfare last summer and had said it would hit shelves during the first quarter of this year. Its delayed debut hasn’t helped the Schaumburg telecom company shed its reputation for blowing deadlines. However, Verizon Wireless, the carrier widely rumored to be the first to offer the Q, is known for rigorous testing and tough standards that frequently trigger product delays.....
